VISION The vision of the ministry for the restoration of women is to reach every woman with alcohol and drug addiction problems.
MISSION Our mission is to spare the children of these women from a life of drug and alcohol addiction, to enable them to return to their families, and to the family of Christ and society.
SPIRITUAL PROGRESS REPORT Our restoration ministry has been caring for women for nearly 14 years. Between 12 and 20 women reside in each of the annexes for a period of 4 to 6 months. Approximately 30 – 45 women are cared for each year. Despite the fact that some women leave the program before completion, 70% of the women accept Christ as their Savior.
In the first eight years we had a spiritual conversion rate of only 20 – 30 women per year due to the lack of understanding and the poor facilities that previously existed. Today the percentage of women who accept Christ is much higher. To the honor and glory of God, it is rare for a woman to complete the program and not accept Christ as their Savior. In the most recent cohort all but one received Christ as their Savior.
THE EXIT Many of the women, when they complete the program, do not have a clear leading. Some do not have their priorities straight regarding what they will do when they leave. There are women who come from other cities, states or even from abroad. They set out to look for work and in some cases we have taken on the task to find them a job and a place to live since their needs as mothers with children are many. To meet this need we are praying for a house to serve as a Second Step. This house would provide a temporary home to enable them to go to work and provide for their families. The requirements to stay in house as a second step would be: 1. Each woman living in the house should continue their devotional in the morning.2. Continue attending worship in the Church3. Conform to the schedules of the house.
TESTIMONIALS We are grateful to the Lord for allowing us to see changed lives, women who are now serving in different ministries in different states or abroad, women who now share the Word, women now living in a home with their family. They are evidence of the fruit of the Ministry.
PLANS
The first are spiritual:
Continue seeking the Lord for direction for the new cohorts.
To convey to each woman in the program that there is a powerful God who can forgive our sins and change the course of our lives.
Continue praying that the Lord sends laborers so that we can grow and help 120 to 150 women per year.
Continue praying that God provides a home which will enable us to help women as they take their Second Step.
CURRENT GOALS
Complete the bathrooms for the women and children.
Fence the whole property.
Finish the ministry office.
Start the building of a new dormitory which will house 20 more women.
