In 2000 Christ’s Church of the Valley, had a vision to begin a ministry reaching out to the children orphaned or abandoned due to the AIDS epedemic and other causes. By June 2004, Chosen Children of Promise (CCP) was registered in Kenya as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working with it’s first 10 children.
CCP aspires that children with specific needs living in impoverished communities reach their full potential and are committed to empowering the impoverished holistically enabling them to live a quality way of life that demonstrates Biblical truth and glorifies God. Currently, CCP focuses their ministries in the Kawangware, Ngando, and Rirutta areas outside of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.
Over the years, CCP has grown to include an on-going sponsorship program that includes family placement, mentoring, medical care, educational and spiritual support consistently working with over 200 children each year. In addition, CCP now has over 25 employees within their Kenyan staff with several Kenyan and visiting volunteers annually. CCP has grown to include multiple ways to offer in-depth support to not only their sponsorship children, but, also community members while always striving for financial sustainability. A few examples would be the development of CCP Academy, a primary school begun in 2014 and a medical clinic with pharmacy based on the grounds of the CCP Community Center.

Life House Foundation for Children has partnered with CCP Kenya since 2011 by serving as their U.S. based office. This includes processing all U.S. based financial needs, providing assistance in operations, sponsorship recruitment, marketing and awareness, and fundraising initiatives. By Life House partnering with CCP we can provide increased support for this special population of children that helps prevent these precious children from falling into the hands of those that have sought to exploit them.
